Piper Seneca

Multi-engine training at Falcon is offered on the Piper Seneca PA-34 twin-engine aircraft.

We have 2 such aircraft- VT-PTL and VT-PTM, to ensure regular flying in the same type of aircraft to our trainee pilots.

The Piper Seneca is a six-seat aircraft with two counter-rotating propellers. The counter-rotating engines eliminate the critical engine limitations of other light twins and make the aircraft more controllable in the event of a shut down or failure of either engine. The aircraft uses two Lycoming IO-360-C1E6 fuel-injected engines, developing 180 horsepower each.

Both the Piper Senecas are fitted with advanced navigation instruments to enable a student to complete all requirements of the DGCA’s flying training requirements.

We understand that advanced training on a multi-engine aircraft is an expensive proposition. Hence, we also have a Redbird MCX (the first and only one of its type) full-motion simulator on-site in Faizabad to enable a trainee-pilot to practice all the sorties in advance or even to review a previous sortie with his/her instructor in the most realistic scenario. The simulator has been programmed with the details of various nearby airports like Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna and even New Delhi to enable a trainee-pilot to practice flying the Piper Seneca simulator at less 15% of the price of the real aircraft!
